Conero Natural Park

To discover all the treasures of this naturalistic area has been created some excursion routes, which penetrate the typical Mediterranean scrub, made of wild strawberries, brooms, pines, holm oaks and lavender, and where many species of bird live. The surrounding landscape’s exceptional value is provided by alternating sequence of rocky coast, woods, grassy glades,cultivated areas and little beaches. The cultural value of the park area is due toprecious architectural jewels such as the Badia di San Pietro, dated back to the 1030. Its bell tower and the connected old monastery, now rebuilt in an hotel, stand out on the summit of the Conero promontory. Here a list of all the summer excursions proposed by the park’s guides: Crossing of the Conero: to visit all the most interesting sites; Scalaccia path: to discover the beach and the fishermen caves; Routh of Faith: to discover the old hidden hermitages in the mount; Due Sorelle path:the most famous and enchanting route, which includes a short climbing to reach the two cliffs, named Due Sorelle; The woods of the Conero:Explore the Conero on a fascinating route around the summit of the mount (easy route – 3 hours duration); Passo del Lupo: through the Mediterranean scrub in search of wonderful “panorama” (easy route – 2 hours duration); Conero the night and the stars: the heart of Conero, in the magic atmosphere of the summer nights. Walks to enjoy the scent of the wood at night and observe the sky (easy route – 2,5 hours duration). This magnificent and varied area offers in addition to trekking many other activities: sailing, surfing, diving and horse riding. Finally not to be missed is a visit to the wine cellars on the Strada del Rosso Conero where you can buy top quality typical products such as oil, honey and wine. << back
